e-savage servo horn

January 16, 2009 · Posted in Bashing, Maintenance · by simon

I put a metal geared servo in my e-savage, and tightened up the built-in servo saver.

Now I’ve stripped the stock servo horn.

I then put on an alloy one with plastic insert, and stripped that too.

So I’ve got to go the whole hog and get an all alloy clamping one.  Perhaps finally it will steer?

As a temporary fix I used the next size insert down in the alloy horn and forced it onto the servo splines… Bodge… It worked quite well for an afternoon bashing!

I broke the bodge today too. I’ll just have to wait for the alloy clamp horn to arrive, and see what breaks instead.
