Ebor24 – York 24 hour Off Road Race
Great report on oOple about the Ebor24, the 24 hour Off-Road race in York.
A friend was keen to get a team together to go and do it, then he mentioned it was in York and everyone said “YORK!”, and decided it was a bit far to drive 300 miles just to play with a toy car and not sleep much.
Still, great to see the York club still in action, I used to race at York some 20 years ago! I recall cosy Friday (or was it Saturday?) winter nights indoors and cold, wet, muddy Sundays outside with Jamie Booth usually winning, back when he did electric and drove a VW Scirocco!
It was probably a good job we didn’t go as we wouldn’t have got home again due to the #uksnow, causing travel chaos
