Racing Plans For 2011

February 4, 2011 · Posted in Off Road, Racing, rcLazy.com · by simon

The new outdoor season is fast approaching, and the usual discussions about what racing we’re going to do have been happening.

Well, it’s definitely off-road!

Last year myself and Bob seemed to concentrate on the Nationals, and jolly good fun they were too. Mark and Matt had their focus more on the regionals, getting themselves F3 and F4 gradings.

This coming year it looks like we’re going to concentrate on regionals , Mid South region. This is mainly due to opening the shop on Fridays and Saturdays, we don’t want to commit to too many long weekends away. Regionals are just Sunday meetings, so we can close the shop up and hit the road for the Sunday.

We’ll also look at doing a couple weekend meetings, at this point that’s looking like the oOple race in mid-summer and the F345s at the end of the season.

We’re also planning on supporting TORCH regularly, and are hoping to sponsor an special rcLazy meeting there at some point.

Also, there will be dabbling with a few other classes. Bob will no doubt dip his toe in touring cars again, and I’m hoping to try my hand at 8th if I can blag a car for a meeting or two.

Hope to see you all around somewhere!

We are actively seeking new members, all welcome, catering for fun racing in both 1/10th and 1/8th scale electric or nitro. Please feel free to add link to our website & forum. I will request likewise.

I am sure we could even find you a loan of 1/8th buggy or truggy if you are “up for it”

Be a shame to not have the lazy crew at nationals!! I’m thinking of giving 8th a go myself so i’m sure we will cross paths somewhere ;-)
Get booked in to a couple of those nationals, one day only too!!
